We are kicking off the season with our traditional Welcome Back Four Man-2-Best Ball Stroke Play Event on Satureday March 27.

Everyone is welcome - Members and Prospective Members!  Space is limited to [TBD] players.

 

This is our kick-off event to get the rust off of our swings and meet new members! Invite a friend, as this event is a great chance for new people to meet Willows Men’s Club members and play in an event.  The goal of this event is to meet new members, and kick off the golf season.

 

EVERYONE must sign up for this event on GOLF GENIUS

  • All players must register on Golf Genius using the directions below.

 

How to register for the Welcome Back Round:

 

Phone App

  1. Sign in using GGID [tbd].  If you are already signed in, sign out and sign back in using the GGID to register.
  2. Click on Member Portal (middle of the page)
  3. Click on Welcome Back - Sign Up Info
  4. Click on Event Registration, scroll to the bottom and click New Registration. YOU ARE NOT DONE YET!
  5. Now go back to the Welcome Back - Sign Up Info
  6. IMPORTANT Click on the Round Signup  and follow the instructions. This is what registers you for the Welcome Back. 

 

PC/Mac

  1. Click this link to go to the Weekend Majors page - https://wmc.golfgenius.com/ggid/ybkgpg
    >> if you need to sign in, use GGID [tbd]. 
    >> If you are signed in to Golf Genius with your email/password, sign out and sign back in using the GGID     [tbd]
  2. On the left side of the Weekend Majors home page Click "Please Select" to select name. 
    Start typing your name and it will show up without scrolling through the entire list.
  3. Click your name and then "Next"
  4. Click SIgn Up button. 

 

If your name is NOT in the drop down list

You need to add your name to the "Event Roster" for "Weekend Majors and Others." 

This will allow you to sign up for the round on the page.

  1. Click the green   Register Now for Willows Mens Club Majors & Others 2020  
  2. Follow the instructions on that page. 

 

If you are NEW to WIllows Mens Club, you need to be added to the master roster before you can sign up.

Click <here> to send an email to Willows Mens's Club to get on the master roster list.

 

SUPER IMPORTANT: You should see a green bar on the Home Screen that says    You are signed up   and the Calendar Table should show Your Status as Playing.  

 

If you do not see this you have not yet completed registration for the Welcome Back event.. 

 

Touranment Info

 

Handicap: Players must have an active (paid) GHIN membership.  Players without an established handicap will be assigned one based on recent scores.  Contact the Willows Run Pro Shop at 425-883-1200 if you need to register or activate a GHIN Handicap. 

 

Note: WMC does not administer or manage GHIN memberships - you must contact the Pro Shop if you have questions about your GHIN membership or activation.

 

Format: Each player plays their own ball on each hole. The two "Best Ball" net scores from each hole across the four players in your team are combined to form the team score. Teams will be formed by the Tournament Committee in advance to best balance team handicap and help new people meet current club members. Expect not to be on the same team as your friends and guests for this event.

COVID-19 RULES

  1. Flagstick must remain in cup at all times. Do not touch the flagstick. 
  2. Bunkers will not have rakes. Use your foot to smooth over a bunker when you leave it.  If your ball is in a disturbed area left by a prior golfer's feet or club, lift, smooth with your foot (no hands!) and place your ball. 


Tournament Entrance Fee - Pay when you Check In.  

  • Inlcudes Greens Fees, Range Balls and Prize Fund. 

  • Tee times will start at 9:00 am. 

  • You will be notified of your Team #, playing partners and assigned tee time in advance via email or on the Golf Genius site. 

 

 

Golf Genius App - Live Scoring

 

Everyone - please take a minute right now to download and install the Golf Genius App on your smartphone. 

  • Live Scoring: All Rounds will be scored using the Live Scoring in the app during the round. 
    Note: Sign in with your acccount or use GGID [tbd] for the Welcome Back event scoring.
  • Paper Card Backup - Please keep a written scorecard.  One person does live scoring in the app. the other keeps the paper scorecard. Just grab a Willows Run scorecard, we will not be printing scorecards.  Compare the paper card to the Live Scoring after the round to make sure there are no Typos in the live scoring.  Please keep the paper scorecard for 3-4 days after the tournament in case there are any follow-up questions.
  • 1 Hour Time Limit - All electronic and photo scorecards must be submitted within 1 hour of the last fiinisher. .  Automatic DQ if theres no Live Scoring or email photo backup within the 1 hour. 

 

 
The Tournament Committee reserves the right to alter any of the conditions and schedules herein including a golfer’s Handicap Index. The Committee reserves the right to reject the entry of any applicant, at any time, for any reason. Any decision by the Committee, in any matter, shall be final.
